my lawyer is saying since my I-130 was already filed and I got a receipt notice then there is no need to wait 90 days. It sounded strange to me.

@ann w don’t used that lawyer. the question is immigrant intent here , did you intentionally try to skip the line through consular process and travel to the United States to suddenly adjust your status? that’s the biggest question to answer. if I were you I will wait until the 90 days period to avoid unnecessary doubt and a smooth process.
