mines been 2 months, but the wait is 18 months so not expecting anything soon. one expedite rejected. currently awaiting result of congressman expedite that went in a week ago

@S B - what was the expedite based on if you don’t mind me asking? And, did they just emailed you saying it got denied?

expedite was for a minor son with no where to live abroad. denied by email

I think the document part at nvc is more like 2 months? then it’s whatever the wait for interview in the country you are applying from

at nvc it take within 90 days

@S B i tried expediting as petitioner but the agent i spoke to said that i cant and that my wife as the applicant has to be the one to request to expedite. Didnt make sense to me. Did they tell you the same thing when you did yours?

yes that’s correct. the petitioner has to expedite. I am the petitioner for my son. it was still denied after a few weeks
