I 751 Waiver Timeline
Hello everyone,
I would appreciate any insights regarding the average time USCIS takes to issue a final decision after receiving a response to a Request for Evidence (RFE). I understand that processing times can vary depending on the case, but any shared experiences or general timelines would be very helpful.
For context, USCIS received my RFE response on March 11th, so it has been approximately one month and half.
Thank you in advance for your input!

@M K I-751s take at least 2 years so with an RFE and a waiver, yours might take longer. What did the RFE ask you for?
M KApr 28, 2025
@Rocco Forté Thanks for your response. They asked final divorce decree.

@Rocco Forté
I Filed I-751 petition in April 2023.
Received a Request for Evidence (RFE) in February 2025.
Submitted RFE response later in February 2025.
USCIS confirmed receipt of my response on March 11, 2025.
If I understood right, it may take up to an additional two years to process the RFE response — is that correct?
Thanks again and I really appreciate.

It's up to the USCIS officers, they can adjudicate your case sooner than later but I don't think it's gonna last two other years to get approved.I have a question though, did you file the divorce decree when you first applied for your I-751?
M KApr 29, 2025
@lebeni blessing Divorce was still in process when I applied for the I-751 in April 2023. I applied directly under the divorce waiver category. The divorce was finalized months later, but I was advised not to send the final divorce decree untill USCIS send a RFE.

you did well applying under waiver,so it's normal for them to require the divorce decree but that doesn't mean your process gonna be longer, you can be approved like I Said sooner than later.Cross your fingers and pray.

@lebeni blessing Thank you for your support —I truly hope everything goes smooth and fast. May I ask if your case has been approved or if it is still being processed?

Hi buddys, I’m divorced August 2024. I have a 2 years CG, I want to file I-751 waiver. I live in Delaware, which USCIS office should I send my application to? your advice would be greatly appreciated 🙏🙏

@el B I submitted it through my attorney, and we filed in Nebraska. I also heard that Nebraska has been processing cases more quickly. You can check the average processing times on the USCIS website.

@lebeni blessing Can you please check with you friend how many days it took from the time USCIS received your friend’s RFE response until the final decision was made?
