I-751 VAWA pending + N-400 filed… advice?
Hi everyone, Is anyone in the same situation? I filed I-751 (VAWA) in Sep 2022 (still pending), and applied for N-400 in Nov 2025. No updates yet and I’m worried about denial. Any similar experiences or advice? 🙏

Your case is similar to most of people I 751 N400 interview together, but here is a thing keep in mind if you file together then you need all documents joint account like a bank account lease agreement any property any mortgage or if you have a child need a birth certificate you have to prove that all documents thank you

This is common. If your I-751 abuse-based waiver is still pending and you filed N-400, USCIS policy says USCIS must adjudicate the I-751 before or together with the N-400. So a pending I-751 can definitely slow the N-400, but it does not automatically mean denial. If your waiver is based on battery or extreme cruelty, USCIS also recognizes special naturalization protections, including exemption from the normal marital-union requirement under the 3-year rule in qualifying cases.
