I-751 Divorce Waiver – Uploaded Divorce Decree (Unsolicited Evidence) – Does this mean approval soon?
Hey everyone, I wanted to get some insight from people who have gone through a similar situation. I filed my I-751 in September 2025 (joint filing), and then my divorce was finalized in December 2025. After that, I mailed my divorce decree to USCIS. Recently (April 15, 2026), USCIS updated my online account and added a document under “Applicant-Correspondence” and also shows my divorce decree under unsolicited evidence. Does this mean my case is now being case is now being actively reviewed or moving toward approval? Has anyone had a similar timeline, and how long did it take after submitting the divorce decree to get a decision?
Any insights would really help. Thanks in advance!

No, I don’t think so. They just recorded your documents and showed them on the case portal.

@Shee ja I believe it shows that uscis received and added the divorce decree you submitted to your case.
Not sure if you have to separately request uscis to treat your I 751 as divorce waiver case or now that the decree is uploaded it is considered as a divorce waiver case automatically.
May be checking with uscis chat bot or calling them and asking help?

@Shee ja I-751s take two to three years these days. You have done the right thing. Just have to wait for approval or interview invitation

That update means USCIS received and scanned the divorce decree. It does not necessarily mean approval is coming soon. If you filed jointly and later divorced, you should clearly request conversion to a divorce waiver and provide the final divorce decree plus strong evidence that the marriage was entered in good faith. USCIS may still issue an RFE or schedule an interview.
