Deficiency notice is not a request for evidence. They don't ask to send them form. As far as I remember they say that either you need to bring it to interview or send them, when you will receive request for evidence. I received deficiency notice in oct 2021, since then no updates. If I would do the medical form in 2021 it would be outdated by now.

there are two kind of email one is courtesy notice just saying i693 is deficinet and another is email asking you to send that form to the given address with the copy of that email. if you got the second one you should send that withine 1-2 weeks so that they dont need to send RFE and process is delayed by another 3-4 months atleast. if you received first type of email you need to wait till you get RFE or second type of email. second type of email has been started to avoid the time lost in issuing RFE. i had received first kind of email ) months ago and got second type of email 2 weeks ago.

I thought you generally take the I693 with you during the interview so was wondering if the interview gets waived.

I believe that it means there will be no interview. Bit this my guess. At least I hope it will happen to me this way)

Please I have the similar issue. I was issued an RFE march 13 I was asked to submit medical I485’ on or b4 7th of June my I 130 is atill under review since 2021, I only have a single does of Covid vaccine booked and appointment for 2nd does which is on April 10. question must I have complet dose of the vaccine? does that mean my interview is waved? my marriage will be 24 month on April 25th I’m hoping all document should be mailed by April 19th is it going to be 2 year green card or permanent. please any1 with similar experience should share. twill be sincerely appreciated thank you

@Dammie @Bobby : in the email I have received it says full dose covid vaccination is required.

For Covid vaccine, it reads as below in my email. “Reminder: Effective October 1, 2021, applicants subject to the immigration medical examination must complete the COVID-19 vaccine series before the civil surgeon can complete an immigration medical examination and sign Form I-693. This applies to Form I-693 signed by civil surgeon on or after October 1, 2021.”

@G D is it from Newark? I’ve received the same email on Monday. and started the preparation of 693 yesterday. it will be done by next week Tuesday or Wednesday. I’m planning to take the form physically and deliver to the office in person next week. I hope 🤞🏽 we will have decision in couple of weeks.. cos I’ve been reading a lot of similar experiences recently getting approved in couple of weeks in this type of situation.. wishing you all best luck 🍀

@G D it is okay but if you take longer than 2 weeks to reply to this email they will ask the I693 form by sending RFE. but that should be fine even if you get RFE and send after that

@XY Z your interview might have been waived off which you can confirm by asking with uscis agent on phone or chat. if not waived off the time is variable as far as i know

@Cristina An once signed by civil surgeon its valid for 24 months. i dont know if there has been any change

@Baris Kurt Got it, thank you for sharing. Mine was Orlando office for biometrics and email I received for I-693 is from Atlanta center. can you actually physically deliver the form to the office? if so, I will do the same. Hopinh for the same, Good luck to you as well.

@baris kurt they dont allow you physically drop it. I tried last week and they said I need to have appointmnet to enter the building. i tried to get appointment for info pass but they rejected saying not allowed and I should use postal service to send it.

do you want to know guys why you got I-693 medical difficiency … even after you submitted with i-485 package … The main reason check your doctor filled up old i-693 form and you and doctor do not check for it … make sure to check latest form I-693 form submit with I-485 package … so you will not have any I-693 difficiency

@yP P yes but I actually didn’t submit i693 with my filing and I was planning to submit it during the interview.

I submitted with my I-485 package and I also made pdf before submitting.. still I got difficiency.. I checked nothing is filled wrong at the end I saw dat that is old… means outdated form … that’s the only reason for difficiency

i got deficiency notice in september 2022 and got email to send I 693 on March 2023

Hi everyone, just wanted to provide a quick update. I submitted my I-693 form on May 2nd and my I-485 got approved today.
