I-601A Case (Finally) Approved - Receipt Date 8/28/2020 I601A
After many very long months of waiting, our I-601A case is approved!
August 28, 2020 = I-601A Application Received at USCIS
September 8, 2020 = Fingerprint fee accepted
June 2, 2021 = Fingerprints were taken
July 17, 2023 = Application transferred to another office
February 1, 2024 = Case was approved
Note that we chose not to participate in any class action suits or file any Writ of Mandamus cases, because we didn't see much firm evidence or proof that those cases were effective for I-601A. In fact, the large class-action case at Immpact that many people here on the Lawfully website were encouraged to sign up for and pay $1,000 each to join was still being held up in the courts the last I saw, and USCIS was trying to have it dismissed completely.
Instead, we waited our turn, checked our case every few weeks and checked here on this website often to see if other cases that were filed at around the same time as ours were being processed. Based on the information we'd been seeing, we'd expected the approval to come this past week, and sure enough. Tonight we have champagne! #I-601A #I601A

that was smart decision not going mandamus and join lawsuit from you ! i regret now for doing it and wasting money bot my hope is none off other ppl get advantige from lawyers like i did so plz dont belive on mandamus just wait for your turn!

my receipt date is 3/26/21 and I recently got a notice that it was transferred to Potomac from Nebraska — I was under the impression that some service centers process faster than others…

Congratulations, Billy Bob! I've been following your posts for a while. Our filing date is 9/30/2020, and we're hoping for approval this month too. I understand the frustration and uncertainty. We also waited without mandamus, and our lawyer wasn't much help. Hoping interview dates come sooner than the waivers. Happy to see approvals happening at last!

Congratulations. I’m really happy for you. I’m always looking for your posts. It took about 32 months from the time you had your fingerprints taken. I just turned 12 months since my fingerprints. And I’m afraid this whole election year will interfere on the speed of the process.
