I-485J
Has anyone experienced a similar I-485J administrative closure?
I noticed two “Action Taken on Your Case” updates in my USCIS online account on august 21 and august 25. When I logged into my USCIS account, I saw that my I-485J was administratively closed.
Today is September 2, and I still haven’t received any physical notice explaining the reason for the closure.
Has anyone experienced something similar recently? If you received a notice afterward, could you please share what the notice said and the reason USCIS gave for the administrative closure?
Also, what updates did you receive after the I-485J was administratively closed? Did your I-485 case continue moving forward, or was there any other action taken?
I would really appreciate it if anyone who has experienced this could share their timeline and what happened afterward. Thank you! 🙏

I have the same experience with email alerts and “administratively closed” update with near similar timelines as yours for my 485J application. A live chat agent mentioned my case was in a field office as the latest update whereas the public tracker shows a previous update.
