same situation!! I requested to uscis hold my I-485 in abeyance (submitted on July 2019). Last month I got my vawa approved and no updates whatsoever on my I-485 so far. Neither deficiency letter … It took 2 1/2 for my I-360 got approved, hopefully will not take the same for adjustment status! fingers crossed 🤞

When did you submit I-360 and I-485? local field office will be handling your I-485

@yj i submitted my personal affidavit friends affidavit familys affidavit my wife's bestfriends affidavit bank account rental agreement life insurance. thats all

@sanjay kark. my i-360 was submitted august 2021, approved in 14 months october 2022. 485 was submitted along with my 130. sept 2019

@marvin yes I already received my C-31. I filed my I-485 along with my I-130 on July 2019. On Feb 2020 I requested to put in abeyance. USCIS at that time updated my I-485 as RFE received and nothing more. I’m in California too, our situation is pretty much on the same stage 😅

@marvin, have you ever got any mail stating that your 485 was hold in abeyance? I am afraid Uscis doesn’t interfile 360 properly along with 485..

@marvin. I read that you requested NBC to hold pending i485 in abeyance until the adjudication of your i360 petition at Vermont (VSC). Am I correct? Now your i360 is approved on Oct 2022 but you’re still waiting for an updare on i485 from NBC. Did you check with VSC in writing about which service centre (NBC or VSC) is going to process ur pending i485??

@V A Hi 👋 actually i got that information from the live chat agents that my i-485 is now processing at NBC. i did not send any letters. the next time i tried asking those chat agents they told me that they cant access my case and i have to write to VSC. bla bla. its kinda annoying agents tells us different stories. some are just lazy to do their work some are just helpful.

@marvin. You’re so lucky. I see ur i360 was approved quickly. Did you ever receive any RFE letter (request for additional info) or Prima Facie after filing VAWA case??

@V A oct 2022 360 approved. march 2023 485 approved

@V A yes i did received 693 rfe. received the rfe feb 7, mailed in feb 28, approved by march 28. i received my 693 rfe sent by Los Angeles field office which is my FO

@V A yes same 485. i did not file a new one. my lawyer said no need to file a new one

@marvin the martian I am little confused about the renewal of my i765 EAD c09. It was issued by NBC based on my pending i485. Now I have i360 vawa pending and i130 is dead. I am not sure where to send my i765 renewal, nbc or vermont.!! Can you plz check with ur attorney, where did he mail ur i765 EAD renewal application during pending vawa?

@V A im afraid i might give you the wrong information. please ask others too. im not sure where my lawyer sent it. every paperwork i have is completed by my lawyer

@marvin the martian The question is simple. If marriage based i485 is held in abeyance at NBC and i360 vawa is pending with Vermont, where to send i765 EAD c09 renewal application!! EAD c09 was initially issued by NBC based on marriage which is no more now.

@Marvin: after your vawa approval, did you have to ask for i-485 to be released from abeyance or it was done by USCIS itself?

@bay bay no. i did not do anything. uscis will pull up your held i485 once vawa is approved.
