hey iam on the same boat as you. may i ask you if you sent the motion to reopen to your local field office or to the national benefit center. i have sent the motion to reopen its been about 40 days and still havent heard back. also how long did it take for you for them to reopen your case. appreciate your help

Since my case has not been closed for a year I didn't have to file a motion and just sent over a request letter to my local field office along with my court order and copy of approved I-130. Mine also took about 2 mos to reopen. I sent it over May 6th then only got it reopen on June 27. Also, if you can. Do a info pass inquiry called Immigration Judge Post Decisional. Explain your situation to the officer. You may need to repeat over and over before they'll get it, but. Try it anyway.

It was 4k to get a lawyer to file my motion to terminate. Pls review my timeline. Processing time really depend case to case basis. My timeline may not be the same as how yours will be.

@ Dina B. thanks for the update and can you help with the New lawyer info pls . got my i751 denied and planning to refile thou they never put me on removal proceedings think anybody they denied they always put them on removal proceedings that’s why am trying to get my info down. where is the lawyer located please

refiling is different price I think. you can look up Jim Hacking. he's the firm I'm using right now. They price case to case to so your fee may be lower or higher than mine.

I asked to reopen the case on may 10th and it’s been 2month no confirmation if they even opening the case

I also called their infopass service and let them know about my eligibility to adjust. Try calling them and inform them, if you can ask them for an appointment to hand your documents in person. They didn't let me so I just did what I could.

@Dragon Lord I asked to reopen mine in April 13 they haven't open my case either 3 months now, I did receive a simple letter saying: we received your documents and we took the necessary copies when something is done on your case we will let you know by mail. I've being waiting for 3 years now, since 2020

@Mabel Lorena I just don't understand why for some people they reopen in one months or 2 or 3, u just waited 6, is crazy, I've been waiting for 3 months now to get mine reopen

@Dina B my best friend is also in the same boat. His lawyer sent the termination letter to Kansas City FO on May 3rd, 2023 with approved I -130. He is also worried as he hasn’t heard anything yet. anybody in the chat on the same page. He is waiting from last 3 years.

@Deepika Verma I got 10 yrs, because we've been married more than 2 yrs before we could even file my I485

@F A no, they didn't ask to interview us again. Just saw my case was approved.

@F A Pls refer to my timeline above. I also hired a lawyer for this case. USCIS tend to move faster when you have a lawyer.

@Dina B my case was reopened in feb26 and went on actively review and April 22 actively reviewed again now case is at Baltimore FO and interview was waived so when do you think I can have decisions?
