Does anyone know what the latest update means? What should I expect from now on?

Case Remains Pending
We are temporarily pausing work on your application because an immigrant visa number is not immediately available to you. Once an immigrant visa number becomes immediately available to you, we will resume processing of your application.
PLEASE NOTE: In the event that you have submitted a valid transfer of underlying basis request, then this Case Status Online message does not mean that USCIS has paused work on your application. Our systems do not currently have the capability to automatically update the receipt of a transfer of underlying basis request or Supplement J at this time. The message will be updated in Case Status Online, however, after USCIS takes some other action on the adjustment of status application (for example, issuing a request for evidence, transferring the application between offices, or approving the application).
For more information, please see the Fiscal Year 2023 Employment-Based Adjustment of Status FAQs page.

that has been my case status for the past 2 years… is your PD Current? my understanding is that CRP when your PD isn’t current

Same case, crp in Dec 2023 when my case was current. It's going to be random from here on out

@Berdimyrat Saryyev, from the current visa bulletin, it means you are not current. Are you?

my PD 2020 february 3 current now!

Same status on my case since Nov 2023, when my PD was not current. Since, Jan 2024 my PD is current but same status. They had approved i132 in march 2024 though.
here is my theory - they looked at case when PD was not current. they did out in backlog, right at the back of the queue. Now, they will adjudicate otger cases first which were filed until the date our case status was changed to visa not available.
needless to say that we all are guessing here. let me know your theory.

from what I’ve seen if they put you to case remains pending it means they will adjudicate the case later your priority date and they will leave you hanging in there confused, frustrated and heartbroken seeing cases with later priority date being approved, either you will place multiple service request or ask for congressman help, this is my situation rn CRP for more than a year with priority date of Sept 2022 current since April and under schedule A occupation and here I am having anxiety about am I going to face the retrogression again.

If you have been current before your status changed to CRP, then it will update to approved. It happened to someone recently.....just that USCIS is difficult to predict.

My case is CRP since my interview back in December 2022. I got a RFE in March 2023 and in July when I sent the response my case came back to CRP until now. My PD is 08/05/2020. Current since January and not even my I765 got renewed after 90 days of applying it. Sucks.
