Hi!
I’m waiting for my green card to get approved, but I don’t know why It is taking so long cause my case is ready for an interview since october.
Also, why are the employment authorization taking so long to get approved🥲 I really need to work.
Does anyone has the same issue?
Thanks!

interview can be schedule weeks, months, years from “case is ready for an interview” depend on ur field office
working permit approval time : 8-10 months
Waiting 4EverDec 20, 2021
@stephano what’s your field office/place you live?
Stephano Navarro TelleriaDec 20, 2021
I live in Orlando and my field office is the national benefit center
Waiting 4EverDec 20, 2021
@stephano field office is Orlando for your I-485…. EAD is processed in NBC…since you applied in August, I’m guessing you might get your work permit in about 2-3 month… Currebtly May and first week of June filers are receiving EAD

taya : are u outside US ? OP probably do it inside US

Taya : what visa are u applying ?
Stephano Navarro TelleriaDec 27, 2021
@Taya Shavers well you received bad information girl, my lawyer told me to file both forms so the process would be faster.
domino 22Dec 27, 2021
taya : outside US u have to wait until ur I-130 approve first ( consular processing )
Stephano Navarro TelleriaDec 27, 2021
@Taya Shavers I don’t know about that. My dad was the one who did my file since he’s the petitioner. He filed the two forms before my 21st birthday so I could be F1 category.
Stephano Navarro TelleriaDec 27, 2021
@Taya Shavers well actually in my uscis account, my i-130 has no upgrades. It just says It was received and that’s it, like if it had never been approved. On the other hand, my i-485 has all the upgrades, the biometric appointment and it says my case is ready for an interview. Maybe that’s happening to you. Try to talk to your lawyer and ask him if you can send your i-485
Waiting 4EverDec 27, 2021
@stephano you’re case is different than Tayas. For child under 21, I-130 will remain as case received… once I-485 has its final decision , then I-130 will update.
As for @Taya , she has to wait for her I-130 gets approved. I-130 might take months or years to approve. Once both PD under F1 is current and with an approved I-130, then only she will be able to travel to US.
I-485 is only for those who are living inside the US

@Waiting 4Ever ah yeah I forgot that point, cause I’m adjusting my status inside the country. You’re right.
