Yes go on uscis website and fill the application it will tell you if you're eligible. I got mine 10 years January and my marriage will be 3 years by April and I apply for my citizenship online and it went through if I'm not eligible it won't go through

@ Souf rch. have you had the 2 years green-card and then 10 years green-card. or just only the 10 years green-card?
Flex acerFeb 12, 2022
@ OF have you had the 2 years green-card before?
souf rchFeb 12, 2022
@flex acer I got 10 years directly because my marriage over 3 years with a us citizen
Flex acerFeb 12, 2022

O FFeb 12, 2022
@ Flex AcerI got my 10 years straight my I had my interview exactly when my marriage was 2 years and 9 months and I got approved on the spot
O FFeb 12, 2022
and I apply for my citizenship 3 days ago
Flex acerFeb 12, 2022
@ OF did you get your straight 10 years in January 2022?
Ab OgFeb 12, 2022
you need to have your green card with you for 3 years before you can apply for citizenship if you are still married about that time.
O FFeb 12, 2022
@Flex YES a week after my interview. my interview was on January 19th 2022
Flex acerFeb 12, 2022
@ OF, you will have to wait 90 days before your 3 years anniversary of your green card to be eligible for citizenship IF you have you got straight 10 years green card ( meaning, if you never had the conditional green-card before). it looks like your will be eligible to apply for citizenship 90 days before January 2025 IF YOU ARE STILL MARRIED.

All green card holders, as long as they meet key conditions, can apply for U.S. citizenship after five years (known as the “five-year rule”) — but those with a U.S. spouse and a green card through marriage can apply after only three years (known as the “three-year rule”).

@ Ab Og, rightly stated.

@of you just made a crazy mistake, ur application will be rejected soon. you need to have been a permanent resident for 3 yrs to apply. been married for years doesn’t make you eligible 😂😂, thanks for giving uscis free money
Sal SalFeb 12, 2022
the only way to skip it is if you enroll in military

@of i am in same situation… i got my 10years GC in May 2021, my mariage clocked 4years in september 2021 and i filed for N400 in October 2021. at this time my biometric was re-used according to the letter uscis sent in january 2022. waiting for the interview now….. lets see what will be then outcome.
souf rchFeb 14, 2022
@donald D1 you got 10 years gc directly ?no 2 years gc?
Donald D1Feb 14, 2022
yes i got 10 direct. but mariage was already 4years
Sal SalFeb 14, 2022
@donald you will go the interview and will be informed that you have not met the eligibility. happened to my younger brother. it’s not years in marriage, it’s years as a permanent resident
Donald D1Feb 16, 2022
@jude love: thanks for the info…. i applied already anyway and telling me to wait for the due time can only be the worst to expect. lol

I am trying to understand,if the person got their conditional 2 year green card june 2021 does it mean they will be eligible for citizenship by June 2024 if they are still with the US citizen spouse?
Donald D1Feb 17, 2022
@sheika H, Absolutely YES.
