I-360 and I-485
Hi everyone,
I wanted to see if anyone has been in the same situation as I am currently.
I was married and had an interview scheduled but couldn’t attend to to circumstances and shortly after applied for a I-360. I received my EAD yesterday which means the VAWA is approved. However, I did so much research and can’t seem to find out if USCIS will transfer my I-485 to my I-360 case now that is has been approved. Filed I-360 in 2020, EAD March 23rd 2022. Some forums say it will be another 2 years or more for USCIS to schedule a new interview? Is this true or will they transfer the I-485, see that it was previously approved through marriage and reschedule a new one for the VAWA?
Any advice is welcome!

I am kinda confused. is your I-485 approved?
and getting an EAD doesn’t mean anything and any case can be denied after receiving EAD

so you received c31 EAD? Congratulations. please share your timeline.
And i have seen people to get their green card anywhere between 6 months to 2 years after I360 approval. Uscis processing time is 6 to 12 months after i360 approval. you can also get updates through your senator or congressman once every 3-4 months.

I dont think is C31 ead . If you get category c09 ead that doesnt mean your Vawa is approved unless u get C31

If you live in the United States, you may file Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, with your Form I-360 or after you file Form I-360 (or if your converted Form I-130), whether it is pending or approved. If you already filed Form I-485 based on the petition your spouse filed, we will continue to process this application and you do not need to file another one.

@laila mila filed VAWA in February 2020, received c31 EAD March 2022, but still haven’t received an official VAWA approval letter.

@S M my I-485 was approved through marriage, but I wasn’t able to go to my interview due to circumstances. shortly after I applied for a VAWA and my lawyer asked USCIS to hold my (old) I-485 in abeyance in the hopes of being approved for the I-360.
