i-140 pending case (case reopened)
My I-140 (priority date: March 2023) has been pending for 2.4 years. Until September 9th, the online status showed “Case Was Received.”
Yesterday, when I checked, the status changed to “Case Was Reopened For Reconsideration.” Two weeks ago, I contacted my congressman’s office, and they submitted an inquiry on my behalf. I wanted to confirm with you what this status change means and what steps, if any, I should take now.
