@Namtarn S thank you! for the I-765 yes, and I sent several documents. for the I-131 I just called USCIS a few times and mentioned how sick my grandparent was. they did not ask for any documents.

I never directly spoke to a tier 2. for the i765 we sent my spouse (the petitioners) statement about the financial hardship we were facing due to my inability to work, all his tax documents, w2s, paystubs, bills, lease agreement, his student verification letter from college, our bank statements and my job offer letters.
