I-131 and I-765 approved 🥳
Both have been approved at the same time, I guess I’ll be getting a combo card!
I have an E2 visa still valid but it’s non-immigrant intent so I will have to use my combo card if I want to get back in the US after leaving.
Anyone of you traveled to their home country and came back without issues? Any French citizens here?

what is your speciality as EB-2 NIW?
safa dSep 29, 2022
it’s always better to use h1b visa to work and travel while waiting for i485 if you can. parole is not admission but h1b is. I am on same boat I will not travel until I get my gc.

congratulations 🎉 that is super fast. could you share your file?

@Lester - I’m a software engineer working in the mental health industry!
@safa - An H1B is dual intent though so you don’t need a 131 to get out and back in, unless your h1b is expired of course. What visa are you on?
Thanks for your answers 🙏

@mat tl i already submitted my h1b application. I don’t know your case. their multiple things you can do.
1- stay in USA until you get i485(we will more likely get it soon when October starts)
2- if you really need to get out it’s better to get h1b stamp which has admission. (you can avoid anything can cause a pain you when entering USA back)
3- use AP and return same employer so you can keep h1b status.( there is a memo 20 years back)
4- use ap and join new employer( make sure you file i485j)
5- join new employer and travel. (again make sure you file j485)
overall I am just suggesting what I heard from my lawyer.
note: If your i485 gets denied accidentally you won’t be able fight it here if you don’t have h1b(1% chance but not neglect it)
