I-130 your next step: USCIS reviewing your case.
hello, I have an important question I’m hoping someone could help me understand this. I filed in December the I130, I’m the petitioner. in just days it said case received then in January it says case is being actively reviewed. now I’m 4 weeks away from estimated time for decision but something changed on the case status page. now it reads as follows: estimated time for case decision: 4 weeks
your next step: USCIS reviewing your case.
estimated time remaining until your next step is completed: 4 weeks.
I don’t understand so if anyone has experienced this please share to me. thanks 🙏🏻

@ Heather E, that means nothing unfortunately. Mine was at 3 months and dropped all the way to 1 week, then after that it went back to case taking longer than expected. So unfortunately it means absolutely nothing.

@Marwah Aldulaimi I’m so sorry that’s crazy. I don’t understand why everyone’s case is taking longer than normal…. months and months and months of waiting and for what reason? I live abroad with my husband and want to go back home so badly and god only knows how long this is going to take totally 😢
M AJul 18, 2023
@Heather E i know its so frustrating, my husband is abroad we’ve been like this for the past 3 years and i visit every year.. this is so tiring and im thinking to move live there but im afraid to go because i heard the petitioner should be working to sponsor the beneficiary financially , i dont know if thats true !
Heather EJul 18, 2023
@Marwah Aldulaimi oh no 🙊 I didn’t know that’s possibly required. for me to be working to sponsor him financially. omg, I need to find out if that is really true or not because if so then I need to travel back home alone to do so. 😢 I’m sorry you e been so far apart for so long. I was long distance with my husband for 2 years before we got married so I know that pain and agony.

Heather EJul 19, 2023
@dp dp who qualifies as a joint sponsor? do they have to have a lot of money? what’s the income requirement? sorry so many questions and thank you
Heather EJul 19, 2023
@Marwah Aldulaimi thanks love and to you as well! ❤️
Heather EJul 20, 2023
@dp dp I don’t meet the qualifications to sponsor him nor do I have family to joint sponsor. what does this mean? we will be denied? 🥺 is there any alternative for us.
