Hi, military wife here. Our spouse being in the military does not give us any advantage at all. I can assure you, it does nothing for our case. Only if your spouse is being deployed and you’re on their orders you can get a guaranteed expedite of your case done. Otherwise, no advantage. I sent my RFE response in September 2024, and I just got my I-485 and I-130 approval 4 months later in January 2025. Vermont Service Center for I-130.

my husband is currently on his deployment but as far as we both know they don’t say on his orders that he’s going there with me.. all I want to know is how long does it take for uscis to give you approval or deny after sending them more evidence. I’m in Poland not in states.

@K I I can see that. But she mentioned him being military and asked how long to get a response. I’m letting her know, him being military will have nothing to do with the approval time after evidence is received, and that my approval time was 4 months.

@Nyuma 🤍 N So I got approved in 6 months. I’m not going to act like that wasn’t fast. But military affiliation had nothing to do with the fast approval. lots of July 2024 approvals happened when I got mine.

@Kay J we submitted our application in April 2024 at the same center as you in Texas. The application did say it would take 14 months and we are half way through it, so we wait.

@Kay J nvc cases are just diffrent idk why they mix them here. AOS is fast, nvc they wait till the last day to approve or rfe that’s why the quick response. it should be a separate forum ppl getting confused.
