may I ask what was th RFE?

that what happened to my application, from weeks to 5month.. for i485 it's 6month now since I submitted and nothing.

You're still well within a normal time frame. It's taking about 12 months on average. USCIS still has 80% at 14 months. Inquiry dates sit around 20-21 months.

There is no assurance of when each case will get approved or get rfe, etc. If your wife would want to work while waiting for the application, then yes, send an application for I765. Include a copy of receipt notice of your I485

I sent out August and got a ref ,replied entered into Thier system response received in 1November and now it's 6month .I hope it doesn't take so much longer.
