@simon p I requested the expedite process via Emma on USCIS website. I typed “live agent” during the live-chat hours and I got to speak to a USCIS representative. I explained why we needed the expedite processing and they put a record of that. About a week later we received an email asking for evidence to back our claim and we sent them a couple days later. We didn’t hear anything back for about 3 weeks so we reached out to our local congressman and asked if they could inquire about our expedite case (this was done through the congressman’s website and it was really easy). They reached out to us and keeps us updated surprisingly quickly.

@Kate G no :( I think we are calling USCIS next week to ask from an officer if they know anything about our case and when could we have the decision.

@I K Has your online status changed as “ Expedite request Approved”? since my hasn’t

no it hasn’t but I’ve confirmed the approval through Emma like 100 times and we have an email from our congressman that it has been approved. apparently it’s common that the status doesn’t get changed but I’ll update this post next week after we have called USCIS :)

@Kate G we got our second “actively reviewing” notice today so hopefully we get approved this week!
