i-130 at Potomac Service Center
PD for my i-130 is May 4, 2021, Potomac. Actively reviewing since July 4. I see people with PD later than mine being approved. I was/am in removal proceeding and was supposed to appear in court on July 7, 2021, but court got postponed and there has not been any rescheduled court date till this day. My lawyer says the court will most likely not give me a new date because of limited resources and more "serious" cases in the backlog as a result of covid (seeing that I haven't committed a crime and I'm not high risk). I assume most people who file a single i-130 as opposed to filing the joint i-130/i-145 have a similar case as mine. Does being African married to an African American affect these things? Is anyone out there (approved or not) with a similar case willing to share experiences and ideas? It'll be greatly appreciated. #potomac #i-130 #frustrated

Your nationality and who you’re married to has nothing to do with this. Your i130 might take sometimes because it might take them a while to review and be done with processing most especially if it’s been investigated. Your lawyer is right. Also, been in removal doesn’t mean it won’t or can’t be approved at the time the government see fit. Just hang in there and keep your marriage in good faith. you’ll be aiit. You gerrit? if you don’t gerrit, forget about it.

hello Jones, am in the same situation as yours I am in removal proceedings so I filed only i130 and my court hearing is next year and also the same processing center but my interview is in a few weeks. How did your interview go? Were you interviewed separately? Was the officer mean? How long was the interview? Was your interview at the Baltimore office? @lammy lammy I haven't even been scheduled for an interview yet. I initially thought only i-485 requires an interview until you mentioned it. I wish you all the best in your interview

@ wiz kid .. did you get your I 130 approved now .. how has it been. I have been waiting for about 9 months now .. it's like potomac lied that they process for 12 months I see people waiting 19 months here 😒
