I-130 Approval
Hi guys! I really need an explanation about Form I-130. I just got approved (I-130), and I really need to know the benefits of this approval and how it helps my pending I-485. My I-130 got approved with no RFE, so I really need your explanation about how this benefits my case. I also want to visit my family in Vietnam after not returning for 8 years. Will this approval help me reenter the US without any problems?

Thank you so much for your advice. Honestly, I have been studying abroad in the US for 8years and have never been out of status. would it still risk my case if i go to see my family?

What is your current status in the US? Do you still hold a valid student visa? What is your priority date for your current applications?
It is never advised to leave with a pending I 485 if you are not sure about the re- entry process. I-130 approval shows that you are eligible for a visa and to adjust your status. The I 485 will process eventually so I suggest just waiting it out. Good luck!

Same as me. My 130 was approved yesterday without any news about 485. Some people told me 485 should be approved on the same day as 130. I am frustrated and keep checking the app every hour ðŸ˜
However, based on my understanding, 130 means uscis believe your marriage is real, and you are qualified to immigrate to the US.

he applied online for i-130 and i-485 after 6 weeks of i-130 but he mailed that one
