how to you contact local congress
hey everyone, I’ve noticed a few people have contacted their local congress to speed up their process, how do you do this? my wife lives in Texas and wants to write them a letter

I recently reached out to my congresswoman through her office website. I simply googled her name, and on their office website I found a dedicated section for requesting assistance with federal agencies.

I didn’t have any luck with my congressman! I reached out twice and got the same answer about waiting until June 2025

For us it wasn’t useful, they just told us what we already knew… like what you see online. @Hina Furqan

your congressman can't do anything but ask for an update and they all get the same generic response. I don't know why some people swear that reaching out to their representative helped with anything. there are also those that swear their case gets updated whenever they call in

yeah i’ve reached twice and they said they can’t do anything unless it’s outside normal processing time. i also filled i130 in august 24 2023 and no response yet, most probably won’t hear a response till next month as they just started july cases

my pd is June 2, 2021. Dq’d august 2023. we also sent application to our congressman and they asked for 30 days wait. hoping for the best 🤞🏻 let’s see
