why don’t you get a new one? report it lost and start the process of a new one. I lost my passport and started the whole process again and got a new passport. you will probably get your passport quicker getting a new one than waiting for DHS

@S M I don’t wanna false report as lost then it haunt me forever if the police would give a report saying ice took my passport I would love to use it

@poto mac your file should be in uscis jurisdiction now. once removal proceedings are terminated, ice transfers your whole file to uscis. especially since uscis adjudicated your I-485 recently. I think uscis has your passport. file Form G-884, it's free. I mailed it to 3 different places: NBC, field office and address from I-485 admin closure form. make sure to notarize it. a month later after filing G-884 I received an appointment letter from field office, went there and they gave me back my passport.

I also got a run around from uscis when I called them. you speak with tier 1 reps, they don't know anything, not about procedures to retrieve passport, not whether uscis had my passport. absolutely useless. I called and emailed local ice office and they were much more helpful 🤣 they confirmed that they transfered my alien file (including my original foreign passport) to uscis and told me to file Form G-884.
