How long would it be to get a green card in hand, rougly?
Im close to my approval (hopefully) and I’ve been wondering how long the NVC will take. I’ve heard it could range from two months to four months. sometimes longer.
but realistically if I were to get approved today, when would I see the green card and be free to move to the states?

you won't see a green card until you are in the US. Assuming your i130 is approved today, it will be sent to NVC. at NVC you will have to pay some fees, upload some documents. NVC will confirm receipt for the fee, review the documents. If everything is ok, they will communicate with your embassy and set up a visa interview appointment. Before your interview date you will need to get medicals done.If the visa is approved on the day of your interview you will be told when to collect your visa. only then you can travel to the US. while in the US you will get your Green card. I'm assuming you are Consular processing from your write-up. Concerning the time it takes for this process to go through is undetermined since it's different with each country the beneficiary is from. I hope this gives you some clarity Arty☺️☺️
