what is the purpose of filing i-824? do you still need to go for visa interview process or file I-485 after this? I know the wait time is like a nightmare

this process may take longer due to available number of visas allocated. since you’re a Permanent Resident you’re not prioritized to receive a visa rather USC get the priority filling for their immediate relatives.

We have to wait for 19 months to get approved.
