HOW LONG FOR GREEN CARD AFTER VAWA APPROVAL
I just wanted to know about this.
40.5 months waiting I might get approved in a couple months but I’m gonna have to wait longer for the gc

@LILY MJUN depends on where your gc is. Usually anywhere from 2 months to 2 years for it to get approved. Im not sure if you saw that the processing time increased again this month so it might be a longer wait 😔😔😔

After VAWA (I-360) approval, the green card timeline depends on when your I-485 is filed and ready for adjudication.
If your I-485 is already filed:
Many cases are decided within about 6 to 12 months after VAWA approval, sometimes longer depending on the field office
Some are approved faster if everything is complete and no interview is needed
If your I-485 is not yet filed:
You would need to file it after approval, and then the timeline starts from there
In VAWA-based cases, interviews are often waived, so the next step after approval is usually final review of the I-485.
Given your timeline, if you are close to I-360 approval and your I-485 is already in place, you may not be looking at another multi-year wait. More often, it’s several months, though it can still vary.
You’re in the last stretch of a long process. Once the I-360 is approved, things typically move more directly toward a decision.
