how long does it take
so I went for my individual hearing for asylum on June 4th and the judge said they will get back to me on decision before then on June 3rd my Ead renewal changed to actively been reviewed I had applied for ead renewal since Oct 2023 then later started counting weeks to decision and now shows taken longer than expected . it’s almost to months no decision received yet and EAD not renewed. please any one knows how long it take for Chicago court to decide on asylum matters and is there anything I can do at this time to get ead renewed before decision if it will take longer ? my driver license is expired and the state I am in needs active documents to renew. I am in a big mess right now . please help !!!

same here , I done my i485 interview 25jan2024 and he said I hold ur decision for review and send ur decision in few days , now 6 months gone I still waiting for decision, I send inquiry through congress men and he said ur decision under review , I not give u time frame , Chicago field office

waooo 1 year ??? oh mine how then can I get my ead renewal while I wait ? my ead expired Jan I don’t have a driver license and I can’t get a job . this is crazy I swear

when did you file for EAD renewal ? last time I checked couple months ago, it took 12-13 months for EAD renewal for C08

i filed 6months before the previous got expired and I know a lot of people who got theirs renewed btw 3-6 months mine is over 10months , in a way I think the delay is because of my court decision pending, because the update changed to actively review a day before my court sitting. I think they waiting for judgement before decision. 🤷🏽♀️ it’s all just crazy

Jamimah did you contact court clerk office ? if not go there and clerk office ask letter.

I live in another state court was in Chicago I will need drive 4 hours or so and i did my hearing already in June 3rd what letter will I need get from the clerk?
