yes it’s says on notification letter for bother i765 and i485 but only says bimetric for i485 on lawfully n uscis acc

@f u they use your fingerprinting for every form you submitted thats why you only do one fingerprinting appointment

guys I have a very close friend who worked as as a tier 2 officer, servic center and now he works as an IO in field office, he always tell me that uscis only does three kinda security check, IBIS name check(takes 10 min), Fbi finger print check(takes days), fbi name check(takes days). now you background check could be delayed if theirs a hit on ur name during the fbi name check, it’s usually a false positive. now when that happens it takes months. now folks it literally takes uscis 15 min to process one ead application and they only verify your identity and do the IBIS which takes 10 min. my friend told me that i765 forms are the most basic forms and when urs is delayed it’s not because of background check, that’s a lie from uscis, it’s just backlog issue. there’s a lot of cases and nobody to work on them. here is a link on how uscis adjudicates ead, https://www.uscis.gov/policy-manual/volume-10-part-a-chapter-4

so giftency does this mean that when ead is approved security check has been done and it’s good for i 485 too ?

@giftency545 how does the process works when u respond to a request for evidence? does this delay ur case processing at the process center?

@muna not really, you can have an ead but ur security check is still pending for ur i485. ead just has to go through one security check IBIS but i485 has to go through three security check IBIS, fbi name check and fbi fingerprint.

@jam depends on the officer handling the case, when ever I go to my friends house you see a lot of people who responded to an rfe, their cases are worked immediately but some officers might just move those cases to the back of the pile. most uscis service center officers work from home

@gigi a: would you say the three security checks generally take about 30 days to complete, at which point the case is actually ready for interview? You mentioned that IBIS would take only some minutes, so I assumed that they actually only process the other two security checks, which take longer?

@np this security checks are very fast and done once ur application is received except for the fbi fingerprint which needs ur biometrics. it only takes long if there’s a hit on ur name

@gigi a, so basically it depends on one’s luck. if there’s a false positive, it will take much longer, yeah? Its so interesting that some people get their interview scheduled on the same day of their biometrics. I don’t understand how that could happen. And also, does the same officer adjudicate both i485 and i765?
