How do I add my 15 Month Old?
Dear community, my father filed for me over seven years ago, he is a US citizen. and I recently became eligible to apply for a visa to come to the United States. I am 35 years old so I had to wait that long for my priority date. But hereβs my problem, I had a baby 15 months ago and my baby was not included in the original petition for obvious reasons. Does my father need to start a new petition for my baby girl or does he just need to add a few documents for her so she can come with me when I travel to the US.? please help.
Thanks in advance. ππΎππΎππΎ

your dad cannot file for your child except he officially adopt the child as his own. you should leave your child back home and once in the US with your GC in hand you can apply for your child

check what is your category in CEAC-but it looks like your US CITIZEN father applied for you 7 years ago- when you were not married and you didnβt have a kid - so your petition was approved within 7 years.
Now like Kiki mentioned- you will have 2 option- explain your current situation, change your category- which i think will be F3, wait for 5-7 more years for your PD to be current.
or come to USA IN CURENT category and then petition for your child from yourself.
YOUR DAD canβt do anything

thank you Brady007, I hope she figures it out, the best way will be to come to the US get her GC and file for her child

whatever you do, mention the child in your new record. if you donβt, you might never be able to claim the child nor apply for the child in the future in US

Thank You Brady007. I cannot leave my baby behind, so, Iβll probably use the other option. ππΎππΎππΎ
