Houston Field Office – Marriage AOS (I-485) – Interview Waiver Experiences?
Hello again,
I just confirmed through a live agent that my I-485 has been transferred to the Houston Field Office, and I’m trying to understand Houston FO patterns specifically regarding approval without interview.
Here are my case details:
• I-485 filed: May 8, 2023
• Marriage-based AOS (U.S. citizen spouse)
• I-130 already approved
• No RFE at any point
• No interview scheduled so far
• Step 3 (Interview) marked complete in myProgress
• Currently at Step 4 (Decision)
• Marriage now over 2 years (eligible for 10-year GC)
• Extensive joint evidence submitted (financials, lease, insurance, travel, affidavits, etc.)
• Lawful entry on B2; later overstayed
• Removal proceedings were terminated and IJ order was submitted
Has anyone with a similar profile at Houston FO been approved without interview?
If so:
• How long after transfer?
• Did you receive any warning signs before approval?
• Did Houston FO waive your interview?
Appreciate any Houston-specific insights 🙏

@T Y This administration doesn’t waive I-485 interviews. If your case has been transferred to a field office then it is to conduct an interview.
