We took the following:
Birth certificates
Birth certificate translation
Passports
Driver’s licenses showing we have the same address
Marriage license and certificate
My F-1 and I-20 and combo cards
Bank statements showing transfers over the past 1 year from my account to my husband’s
401k papers showing we’re each other’s beneficiary
Our investment account that has both our names on it
Life insurance with my husband as the beneficiary
Joint income tax returns
Travel itineraries to places we’ve been together
Apartment leases
An offer made on a house in both our names (we didn’t win it though)
Photographs (photo album)
