hii, i wanna ask some questions
i've been seeing sept approvals and im truly happy for them but there's also some people that haven't get approved even when they filed earlier, i dont get it, is it because they don't have enough evidence, their case is complicated, missing documents, backlogs or other things. #ir2 #i130

Could be a lot of things. They will definitely give you a notice when they need more documents from you. Unfortunately, the waiting game is what we need to master in this situation. Please check your processing times based on your processing center. You can send an inquiry if it has gone beyond the date from filing. Some lucky ones get approval in 6 months or less but then any single case is not the same. Backlogs? that's for sure. Just be proactive in checking your status every now and then. Goodluck and I pray that you get your approval soon. 🙏🏻

@kay leen I feel your pain I’m going through same especially when u want your child beside u. I’m waiting 550 days now and nothing from them. People who put in for their kids after me got approved it’s very sad

kay leenFeb 1, 2025
@Maria Bonita i appreciate the details!!

@p m has your case been "actively reviewed" by the uscis?
kay leenFeb 1, 2025
@Natalie Baptiste i've been seeing people posting their september approvals and i hope on february they will start working on october cases cause from what i know the processing time went up from 16 to 16.5 months, it's crazy cause few months ago the processing time was 14.5 months, it keeps going up 🥲

@kay leen yes, it has changed to "actively reviewed" before they asked the RFE from the latest update. It just means they are taking a look at your case and see if they need anything from you. If none, they could give you an outright decision or schedule you for an interview. I was asked two RFEs in the whole process. the first one was the one that i did not hear an update about for 11 months affer submitting. The last one was where it took only 24 hrs for them to take action to "case approved" after the "received" status.
