it’s been 3 years since I applied for my green card after asylum approval.
Hi everyone, Today marks 3 years since I applied for my green card after my asylum was approved. My last update was in May 2024 after I submitted my medical exam. In January, I received a response saying they are waiting to schedule my interview in Boston. Has anyone had a similar experience in Boston? How long did it take to get the interview scheduled?”

@ Hi, I don’t have any updates so far after service was delivered to the defendants.

@aln li I can’t say whether inquiries help or not. In my case, they didn’t help. But you can still try it. Even if you file a WOM, it may help later by showing that you made efforts to resolve your application through other means.

That is longer than anyone wants, but it can happen. Once USCIS says the case is waiting for interview scheduling, the practical problem is field-office capacity, not usually a hidden legal defect in the application.
