if you’re outside the US then you need to fill out no.62 only. if you’re within the US then you need to fill out no.61 only. you’ll have to look on USCIS website where to file that form. when you look for the form there’s a “where to file”. make sure to send it to the correct address.

What service center do you have? California is the fastest. I have Texas and been waiting so far 7 months for our 824 to be approved. No alternative, just a really bad system that screws people over.

There is no other alternative way, you have to file I-824 & it will take take another 16 months. You might be luck if your I-824 will go to California center. which takes only 6 Months. all other center will take 16 months or longer.

Nothing will work, you must have to file I-824, that’s what they gonna say.

Great news you have California, the rest of us have to wait 8 to 20 months. California service center has been about 3 months. It's all crazy, we should have never allowed us to make the mistake, we should have got an error while filling it out, two, since we made this so called error, we should have been able easily respond and indicate the correction, but they intentionally do this to draw another $500 out of you and make you wait. It's hard to wrap your head around. But you got California, which like winning the lottery!
