nvc inquiry

@noura rayz but it only said like the case was sent to department of state so I’m not sure if I have to contact department of state of NVC

@A B Are you planning on becoming/ are a resident of another country? Do you have your welcome letter from NVC yet?

@Kristen B I filed for my husband. the case is i130 filing for spouse abroad. No I haven’t got welcome letter from NVC yet. still waiting for it

It's been 9 months since I had my file at the department, still no news

@A B OK. If USCIS has passed it off to NVC you may have to do a public inquiry with them once you get your letter. Your husband will have to be a resident of whichever Country you are trying to transfer to.

@Kristen B it said it sent to the department of state for visa processing so who do I contact? NVC or the state or uscis?

@A B Did you approval notice have any mention of an I-824 or was it just an approval?

@A B OK then they’ve passed it off to NVC so just wait until you get your welcome letter which is usually within a few days and try a public inquiry.

@Kristen B yeah I did the public inquiry but haven’t heard anything back

@A B Try to be patient. The update on Monday has them responding to inquiries made on Sept 5th. Looks like you were super lucky, your I-130 was approved very quickly. I will attach some NVC timelines to help you further.
