here we go again. Kansas City Field Office NBC
-Biometrics on 01/06/2026 -case was updated the same day to « actively reviewing your case » - Interview scheduled 01/30/2026 for 03/10/2026 -Attended the interview but they haven’t updated my case (7 days later) Hired a lawyer for my case & I think the agent interviewing me did not like my lawyer, there was a bit of tension between them :( Came to the US on a F-1 in 2021; F-1 got terminated in 2023 and i applied for a TPS in March 2023 (Cameroon) which I had from March 2024 until August 2025. Met my spouse in March 2022 started dating October 2022, talked marriage in February 2023, but decided to wait for my spouse to graduate (got married in june 2025); have been living together since May 2023 & moved in with my spouse’s parents in July 2025 before I stopped working -He asked a lot more question about my immigration history; I have a New York driver license that I have not updated since I moved to Kansas, lost it in 2024 and asked for a new one(New York driver license with a Kansas adress) - The interviewer though that it was odd but didn’t ask why I haven’t changed it. I lost my EAD around when I was waiting for a replacement got my car in 2025 & have been updating my vehicle registration every time I moved -I have had more than 5 address in the past 5 years.(NewYork; Missouri and Kansas) And I think that he though that I met some people during my stay to « organize a wedding » -How many times I have been to the US, and on what visa? What school I attended and what major? am I sure? where was my school located? And why travel to NY if I was enrolled at UMKC? who did I meet there? where they US citizen or Cameroonian? stuff like that. « because I have no family in America, but my family knows some americans who like to travel to Cameroon💁🏾‍♀️ » -Overall I think he was just trying to do his job but I’m suprised that we were barely questioned on our marriage Because I’m used to the longggg wait with USCIS processing… I know this is not going to be the fastest case. I can’t wait to go back to school and provide for my household… Let’s always remember that we are not alone. I wish us all the best

@Renn E have you received your work permit as yet ?
Renn EMar 17, 2026
@D B No not yet :(
Kingsley BMar 19, 2026
@Renn E You are legally required to update your drivers licence within 10-30 days of moving depending on the state. You cannot have a different states address from the state that issued the card. Failure to update your address can lead to fines. Thus is something you must do as an immigrant or a citizen. The interviewer probably did not like this and could lead to delays. You should fix it.

@Kingsley B I hear you, i lost my EAD a little after I got a replacement from NY in 2024 which is why i didn’t update it. he didn’t ask why he just looked confused and I brushed it off… but I have been updating my vehicle registration (got the car in 2025)
