I am in the same boat, I got approved July 6 and still waiting for my case number. so long of a wait

I did and they said they received it since the August 11 . when should I expect to get the case number?

@Babacar. If they already received it, you can ask for your case number. You just can’t do anything with it until your case shows up as “in transit” or “ready.”

how long did it take to hear back from nvc after your noa2 was issued?

two weeks

it’ll be two weeks for me this friday. hopefully i get it from them. was it via mail or email?

yes they all do. it’s at the end where you put your information like phone number and signatures

If you read your NOA2, it should say you need to wait 30 days to hear back from NVC. If you do not hear back within 30 days the NOA2 says to send an email to NVCInquiry(at)state.gov FYI, I did that email and the reply was basically due to the pandemic the 30 days is now a minimum of 60 days wait and then email them at the NVCInquiry email..

nope since you doing a 129f for fiancé, you don’t need to upload nothing on ceac. just fill out the ds-160

if you file for 129f you don’t need it. they won’t send it to you. only the case number. . the invoice I’d is for the I130 .

the visa app type for 129f is IV

how did u pay for the ds160 for senegal on i129 fiance?

you can pay once your fiancé or fiancée goes to her or his interview.

all you need is the ds-160 receipt

@babacar, i completed the ds160 and from the case number i received i believe they sent my case to Accra, Ghana instead of Dakar. what is my next step if you dont mind? I’m stuck and dont know what to do next as all i received from nvc is the case number alone. do i go ahead and apply for an appointment date with the Ghana embassy ?

Hi everyone. Correct information: After USCIS approves your I-129F case, your case will proceed to the NVC. Once the NVC enters your case in their system and sends it to your embassy, you will receive a welcome letter from the NVC. The welcome letter will have your embassy location and case number. With that case number, you will create an account on the CEAC website. You then create an account on your embassy’s website and complete the DS-160. Then, you pay the $265 visa fee (through a bank in person or online, depending on the set of instructions from your embassy) and lastly, YOU can schedule your interview. Do not wait for the embassy to send you instructions or email you an appointment because they will NEVER send you anything.
