when was your vawa approved??? how long it took for them to send you rfe for medical after approval?? Im waiting over a month notjing yet

it’s been 14 months since VAWA was approved. Vermont received my RFE for medical and birth certificate in Oct, 2023. So if we calculate the time based on the RFE, then it’s been almost a year .

@M L has your lawyer done anything to figure out why there is a delay?

what is your rfe date? Mine was approved in December sent in 3 rfes and still waiting..at Field Office in NY.

@Ann Ann what were the 3 RFEs and was it sent separately?

@M L a year that’s so long, I found out one person who send their medical in May 2024 and now receive for interview this November 2024

@Jerry Jo my 3 rfes was for medical first, then biometrics and then I864-w form .this form is to say I am exempt from affidavits. I didn’t do a biometric only a background check as it was in Covid and the appointment dates at Federal Plaza were long and my return date would passed.

@Ann Ann how many days apart from medical to biometrics to i864? So you should be expecting card in production soon.

@crim son mentally I kinda prepare myself for 1 year and half and yeah it’s so long :) and I did see that some ppl got approved faster but rn it seems that taking one year or more is kinda normalish .

@Jerry Jo I did medical in February ..system updated in March..did biometrics in May ..updated in June..I864-w in September not yet updated

I think some field offices take longer than others. it’s hard to tell why some cases are approved in a short time and others take so long
