What @tired from waitingg said. If Biden can just create a program to offer relief, Trump can just as easily end the program if it was not built into immigration law. VAWA is and so is TPS, so it shouldn't be so easy to "deport" refugees and asylees either. For now, worst case is he tells DHS not to renew their statuses when it expires. Otherwise it needs to pass through Congress. It is always advisable to walk with documentation to identify yourself. Keep copies on your phone...don't walk with the actual documents. And bear in mind if you do get stopped by any ICE agent,, you don't have to respond to anything they ask you, as advised by lawyers. If you do respond don't lie! And never claim to be a citizen.
