Hello does anyone here did a lawsuit against USCIS on their own?
On March 9 2024 I will be hitting 2 years waiting for an approval on my case I-130 petition for my spouse, I am a U.S citizen. When I called they keep telling me that they are still waiting on a security check. For over 9 months waiting on a security check. first of all my husband and I never been in anything ilegal, I never been arrested, I pay my taxes, I don’t take any government assistance, I am a hard worker I work in a hospital meaning I get randomly security checks why if I know for a fact that my husband and I we don’t have negative backgrounds they are telling me that they are conducting a security check.
I cry 😢 daily this is so unjust for all of us waiting on these people that they don’t care about our pain and suffering😭

@Hanna Pimentel it’s just a general excuse…. it doesn’t take long to get results back from the FBI, etc…. first application for me it took two weeks to get fingerprints done and interview completed…. and I lived in several countries before living here so it complicates the situation a bit more….
it’s just BS and your case is sitting somewhere….

you can start by sending them a letter of intent to sue. hopefully it helps. you can also do a CIS Ombudsman request. Search online for their page. they are outside immigration department.

sorry to hear about your situation. what number did you call that gave you the information of security checks? usually. they say they cant give information of what is causing delays. I'm just wondering if they can give info about cause of delays

I thought they only ran background check for I-485. I didn’t know they did Fingerprints and background checks on I-130. Is the i-130 the only application that was filed? @Hanna Pimentel

@Bòbò Nkìtì I called the 800-375-5283. The reason why they told me the information was because I did an inquiry request first, I called them every week I am sure they are tired of me.

@mel bae yes the only application was the I-130 my husband lives in the Dominican Republic.
