did u apply for 485 after 1 year u granted asylum or right away?

@charlie yang Yes, you are correct. But, some of my friends they received their GC before average timeframe. Now, this administration makes things harder I think.

@ADILET B Brother, I was granted asylum in September 2023. I traveled abroad using my Refugee Travel Document (RTD), successfully returned to the United States, and applied for my green card in late April 2024. What about you?

@Rezaul’s Resettlement I was granted in June 2024 but applied in September with medical and will be one year in June but I didn’t apply for travel document cuz didn’t want to risk my self but u said everything was fine when u fly back I have to think about it. how long did u wait for white card?

@ADILET B After getting the receive letter, I expedited my RTD application, and they aproved it; all processes took 29 days! I was lucky that time. Now, don’t know what will happen to GC. Planning to call USCIS for any updates?

@Rezaul’s Resettlement lucky u, idk probably will wait for one year it will be on June and I was think to apply for RTD, u already supposed to get GC,my sister got her in 6.5 months after one year been granted, if u call for on updates pls let us know in here

@74 Rus we are same level i got asylum granted from IJ January 2024 applied GC November so you applied early and they will put you on hold until one year granted lmk any updates please
