Had interview today
I just want to give back because people’s post here helped me through this process. I never knew what emma was or expedite request until I found this app. The interview was smooth, he only asked us how we met and we gave him some of our documents like lease, auto insurance, life insurance with my wife as beneficiary, flights and hotel reservations we have had together. Looked at our pictures too. The officer says if everything is fine then I should get the card in the mail in some weeks. Got and update on this app 3 hrs after that new card is being produced. FO is Charlotte, NC
Timeline
Uscis received application Feb 4,2021
Got rfie for my wife’s birth certificate on May 4, 2021
Expedite request for EAD received on May 10 (Got an email some days later saying they can’t expedite because they are waiting for bio, got bio appointment some days after this email)
Uscis received rfie reply on May 13, 2021
Bio was taken on May 27 (2weeks before when I was actually scheduled for)
Ready to schedule for interview on June 1
Expedite request for EAD was received on June 21
Interview scheduled on June 25
Expedite request approved on June 28 (no request for evidence)
New card being produced for i765 on June 29
Card was mailed to me July 1
Aug 3 - Attended interview
3hrs later got an update that new card is being produced for i485

congratulations David! That was very fast! I submitted my application in January and I haven't received biometrics appointment as yet. what field office processed your case?

@kim the FO is in my post lol..its charlotte. Try to expedite your EAD and that should trigger bio. That was what worked for me, if you check my timeline you will see that I had expedite request before bio

hi @david did you have to resubmit the expedite after the biometric for your ead? also what was your reason to expedite if I may ask

@rish yes I had to resubmit expedite request after bio. reason was financial harship and I had job offer. They never requested for evidence though

@chaimaa he asked how we met, my date of birth, place of birth and I gave him my medical, joint lease, account, auto insurance, life insurance with my wife as beneficiary, flight tickets flown together and hotel reservations dating back to 2018 etc
