which center ? mine was jun 2020 , Texas center. applied for h4 and h4 EAD. bio done in july 2020. got h4 approved on April 30. still waiting for EAD approval. given the current timeliness it seems the wait is normal. u may receive it soon too

Thank you, Preethi. I submitted my application online I think it is routed to the CA center. I hope to receive it soon. And my wife is still waiting on her I-140 approval so I can apply for my EAD card. More waiting.

@ preethi did you get your h4 ead? mine was applied in Texas centre too and got approved on May 6 but no ead yet. all other centers I am seeing h4 and h4 EADs applied together are approved together. this is so frustrating. please keep me posted once you recieve your ead.

not yet. I'm still waiting for it too. I could not raise a request since it said it's still within processing times

@ Preethi I know it’s so frustrating, I was looking up on forums about there h4 and was approved same day in all centers, I believe it’s just not happening in Texas. our bad luck. USCIS agent said that it should not take time after h4 approval. let’s see. please update me once you recieve it. hope you get it soon

I have the same situation for my spouse. H4 approved in May still waiting for ead. both applied together May 2020 at Texas center. please update if there’s any change in your application.

any updates? I’m still waiting to hear back from uscis for outside normal processing request. @mims smmu is your ead also showing case received update only? my spouse had attended biometrics for ead in December. that update is not reflected on case status. when I asked an agent he said it shows in their system that biometrics was attended and it’s just not updated on the site.

@ Atl Atl mine shows expedite request denied on Jan 28. that’s it. it’s so frustrating. I have contacted the congressmen for help with my case but my congressmen said uscis hasn’t come back to them yet. it’s been 3 weeks.

this is ridiculous it’s more than a year and they don’t even provide any additional information.

I know the frustration, I am going through the same phase.

uscis responded by saying that your case is currently in line for processing. Cases are processed in the order in which they were received. very helpful 😂

nope. it's been 12.5 months and past the outside processing time...I made a call last week and the woman said that I still haven't crossed the 13 months timeline that's mentioned in their website so I still can't raise a service request...I got so annoyed

it will be 13 months in 5 days for me....will see wat they say after that

service request is same as outside normal processing request, right? mine is 13.5 months and when I put in a request they just sent a generic email saying case is in line for processing. is there anything else I can do about it?

I donno wat else can be done. I just requested for a call back from tier 2. they said it will take 20 days....have to wait n see if they call back

I got my EAD approved on August 18th. the total time was 14 months with a gap of 4 months between the h4 and EAD approval. good luck to all those waiting. stay strong.
