greencard
was worried it would take longer to get approved especially with all the rumors surrounding Asylee green cards, the claim the green card processing for Asylee was paused atm but thank goodness it turned out to be fake news

Right on time. Starting today they have halted all asylum applications, including pending applications. You’re lucky.
Eugenie CNov 29, 2025
@Kanye East do you understand the difference between “decisions on asylum interviews are paused” and asylee green cards processing/approval? It’s crazy enough without those spreading panic and misinformation.
Kanye EastNov 29, 2025
@Eugenie C “USCIS has announced a halt to all asylum decisions: no asylum adjudications will be completed for the time being. The pause is reportedly ‘indefinite’, at least until new, enhanced vetting and screening measures are implemented. It appears to apply broadly to asylum decisions regardless of nationality. USCIS will not finalize asylum approvals or denials“
Jose G7Nov 29, 2025
@Annie Daniel Congratulations! I also applied at the same time. From which state/ FO you applied from? And they never scheduled any interview for you, right?

@Kanye East what does it have to do with green card approvals again?
Kanye EastNov 29, 2025
@Eugenie C How are you going to have a green card without an asylum approval?
Eugenie CNov 29, 2025
@Kanye East the post we are commenting under is about the approved asylum green card. OP is way past the asylum approval step.
Kanye EastNov 29, 2025
@Eugenie C Yes, I know that. What exactly is your point?
Annie Daniel Nov 30, 2025
@Kanye East that’s actually not true. Trump made that statement but there is no executive order yet
Go check USCIS website, while they’ve been some adjustments in regards to vetting there is no halt to the process

@Annie Daniel how long wait asylum grant after apply green card
Annie Daniel Nov 30, 2025
@Sandhu Saab Sandhu waited a year before applying
Eugenie CDec 1, 2025
@Kanye East I made the point earlier. No need to spread panic snd misinformation among people who are tired af already, especially when your message has nothing to do with the OP’s post.
