Green card approved prior to EAD card
After submitting my application on Oct 29, 2020, nothing was happening until July 2021 when I got the fingerprinting appointment. 2 days after, the interview was scheduled. I was notified during the interview that my green card has been approved and that I will get it by mail within 2-4 weeks.
I have never received the work and travel permit (EAD card), even though it has been 10.5 months now. My center was the National Benefits Center. Luckily, I don't need EAD card any more :)

Did you send your medical exam (I-693) along with your initial application (I-485)?
Mati NBCSep 10, 2021
I did not. I was advised, maybe wrongly, to simply bring it to the interview. Do you think that is why I never got the EAD card?

@Sart Than Good luck on your interview! ☺️
S TSep 13, 2021
@Mati .. thank you. How long have you been married? How was the interview?
Mati NBCSep 15, 2021
@Sart Than We had been married for a little over one year at the time of application submission, and over 2 years at the time of the interview.
Mati NBCSep 15, 2021
@Sart Than The interview was actually quite nice! The interviewing officer was friendly and respectful. It lasted only 30 mins. I wonder if it's because we used an online lawyer firm (Boundless from Seattle, very affordable!), which means that our application was prepared very well. Anyways, it was less scary than we thought it would be!
