Green Card Approval
I wanted to share my story. I have been silent on this forum but this app helped me during this journey. Here is a summary of my journey EB2 PERM ROW: PD: June 2023 RD: Nov 2024. Dec-10: RFE for Birth certificate, Jan 10: Response to RFE sent. Became current : June 2025. case was transferred from NBC to Brooklyn FO (not sure when-Non Local for me). Received 2nd RFE from Brooklyn office July 2nd. Responded to RFE July 14 but my status never updated to show that my response to RFE was received. I was a bit worried that the documents were lost. August 28: New card is being produced. Don’t lose hope guys. your time is near.

Congratulations @kc kc your filing City address is usually your local address, so if you filed in NY, Brooklyn might be your local FO. Congratulations to you and your family.

@kc kc What was the RFE about your birth certificate? I’ve noticed a lot of people get RFEs for that, and I’m curious what the common issue usually is.

@Einar Adam I had submitted my birth certificate with my application. To be honest, the RFE just said submit a birth certificate which was strange. so I assumed maybe they wanted another version. I looked at the uscis website to see what was acceptable for my country, which I requested and eventually sent.
