Green Card
Hey my fellow VAWA family, a little update using my Green Card I got through VAWA for the first time I travel from Philadelphia internationally airport to my home country (Jamaica) and the only question was asked when I return how long was my trip. Guys if you have your Green Card through VAWA don’t afraid to travel. If I should listening to social media with all these lawyers and documents preparer’s I would not travel.

@sagu chi Oli how does global entry work? I’m interested in that.

@Sean kan If you have a legal status, apply for one from the DHS website. You’ll need to wait for conditional approval. They’ll review everything and send you an email confirming that it’s conditionally approved. Then, you’ll need to find a Global Entry office or the nearest airport for the interview. They’ll double-check everything and approve your application for Global Entry. You’ll receive a card valid for five years with a unique number called the Known Traveler Number (KTN). Whenever you book an international flight, add this number to your booking. When you return to the United States, you’ll see a special lane for Global Entry members. It scans your face in less than two seconds, and you’re out. It’s simple! Most credit card offers reimburse the Global Entry fee. The entire process takes a couple of months, but trust me, everyone should get it. You never have to meet a CBP officer; it’s all digital. I use it every time, so I don’t have to wait in line for questioning and all that.

@James Rodrigues great go ahead and enjoy your life we only have one life to live. if I did listen to what some lawyers are saying that if you got your green card through VAWA you shouldn’t travel at this time. I waited almost two years after receiving my AP before I used it they scared people but from I used it one time and nothing happened and I know for sure I don’t have a criminal record l travel twice a year my last time when I used it was couple days before my VAWA approve.
