Govt. shutdown
even though USCIS is a fee based organization and usually works through government shutdowns, does anyone know if the impending govt shutdown, which might drag for weeks or months will impact the upcoming n400 interviews?

not affected directly they are not funded by federal government

agreed. however the issue is that the process contains intra-agency checks for e.g. with FBI, CBP, etc. and thats why indirect delays can happen. also oath related staff and building availability can be impacted in some cases as most uscis Field offices are in federal buildings (newark FO certainly is)
